About Our Church

St Clement's is a well established parish of the Catholic diocese of Arundel and Brighton situated in the deanery of Epsom and Redhill

Founded in 1937, as a Mass Centre of the neighbouring parish of St Matthias in the Archdiocese of Southwark, St Clements became an independent parish during 1941.

Serving the Roman Catholic community, we have grown in size and outlook, opening our present building in 1962. Shortly after  the new Catholic diocese of Arundel and Brighton was formed (1965) comprising the counties of Surrey, East and West Sussex. St Clements being in Surrey took its place in the new diocese.  The community continued to develop and the church was extended and reordered in 2003.

We belong to Churches Together in Ewell and Stoneleigh are a Fairtrade Church and support Overseas Development through CAFOD

After "Vision for Mission looking to 2030" a diocesan consultation document addressing the balance between available pastors and  the increased number of parishes our next challenge is the Diocesan Pastoral Plan

Launched by Bishop Richard in December 2019 it brings up to date the state of the diocese and addresses our future under the headings Prayer, Formation and Mission

St Clement's Vision Statement

As a parish community we aim to obey, with all our fellow Christians, the Lord's command to love our Creator and all people.

Inspired by this love and through prayer and the Sacraments we aim to grow in our understanding of our Christian responsibilities in our lives.

We commit ourselves, working together, to build a welcoming community in which everyone will be recognised and to which all will contribute, according to their call from God, in whatever way they are able

We will strive to be sensitive and respond to the needs of all.

We pray that all our liturgy will be a celebration of our witness to Jesus Christ as Lord, the Light of the World.

St. Clements Primary School

St Clement’s Catholic Primary School was opened in 1972 and had been set up by the Parish of St Clement, Ewell, the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton and Surrey County Council, for the education of baptised Catholics in the parish of Ewell and Stoneleigh.
The school is conducted as a Catholic school in accordance with canon law, the teachings of the Catholic Church and the Trust Deed of the Diocese of Arundel & Brighton.
It seeks at all times to be a witness to Jesus Christ.

St. Andrews Secondary School

St Andrew’s is a Roman Catholic Comprehensive School for students aged 11-18. It is a vibrant and dynamic school with high expectations and great ambitions for every one of its students.

Each child is unique, they are loved and valued. They deserve the best and that is what we aim to give them. They are our greatest ambassadors and they are supported by a team of staff united in encouraging, guiding, motivating and challenging each one of them to be the best they can be.
